I support J.P. Kleinhaus, W2XX, because he has done an outstanding job as Vice Director during his tenure in the past four years. From several sources on the ARRL Board and staff I have heard nothing but superb comments about his performance.

J.P. has dedicated himself to do an outstanding job as Vice Director and has done so with honesty, dedication and enthusiasm.  At a time when the ham radio hobby is having serious difficulties because of the aging of our population, it is critical that younger people be substantially involved in the direction of the hobby and the efforts of its most active and representative group, the ARRL board.

The board of the ARRL should not be an entertainment center for individuals who feel that they have nothing else to do and therefore want to be in it.  It is imperative that a new generation of younger people becomes involved, if the hobby is to survive (in whatever form or style it may take). As someone who has served and enormously enjoyed a brief tenure there, I know that the biggest problem the board has is a few individuals who don’t know when to leave.  No matter how good their contribution has been, there comes a time when others, even if young and less experienced, should serve and bring a different perspective that the board so desperately needs!

J.P. Kleinhaus, W2XX, deserves and should unquestionably be reelected.  I will vote for him and I urge everyone to do the same, because he is the best choice for Vice Director of the Hudson Division.
